Bados was part of the Sander’s infamous 14 puppy litter.   I took him as a ‘trial puppy’ (right!), and then he became the center of my canine world.  He was an extraordinary hound who excelled in both conformation & performance events.  He died far too young while doing what he most enjoyed, lure coursing.  He cannot be replaced.

Bados was one BadAss courser.  In 2010 @ just 15 mo., he ranked 20th in ASFA for Silkens. In 2011 he earned his ISWS FCh, won Best of Breed coursing at Silkenfest 2011, and then became the 4th ISWS Lure Courser of Merit.  Once Silkens gained provisional status with ASFA, he quickly met the ASFA FCh requirements.

Bados was the #1 Silken courser for 2011, #2 for 2012, and #3 in 2013 at the time of his death.  We had his sights on the #1 spot with several events remaining in the season.  He also was at #2 among Silkens on the ASFA Lifetime Top 20 List.

Racing was another of his strengths.  Bados earned an ISWS SRC and an ORC.  He died with less than a point needed for his LGRA racing championship.

Bados was a beauty.  His 1st conformation championships were with ICKC (then NAKC) and UKC.  In successive weekends of July 2012, he completed both his ISWS CH and UKC Grand CH.  He earned BOB several times as well as a RBIS with ICKC and BISS at both NWFest and the Silken Celebration in 2012.

He is survived by the puppies of the Miracle litter in Germany and awaits his family at the Rainbow Bridge.

ISWS has established a perpetual Trophy in his honor for the top ASFA Silken that is also an ISWS Ch.  The beautiful Trophy was sculpted by artist, Lena Toritch.
