Born in October 2000, Luka was abused at some point in her youth.  This left her emotionally unbalanced, and she never raced.  She joined my home in 2002.  After much TLC, she became my soulmate, and throughout her life she continued to show improvement in her trust of humans. She loved all other dogs.  Luka was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in January 2012, but with treatment she stayed with us, playful & happy, until late October.  She died in my arms and now plays with Inger, Phoenix, Gandhi, Bados, and the cats by the Rainbow Bridge.
